Tom Burke and Jeff Fiehler Named to Forbes 2023 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors

Syntegra Private Wealth Group is pleased to announce our owners, Tom Burke and Jeff Fiehler have been named to the 2023 edition of the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors

With all the recent uncertainty and recession fears, the steady hand of a seasoned wealth advisor is more important than ever.  This listing represents those advisors who have a track record of success over time.

The Best-In-State Wealth Advisors rankings are compiled by SHOOK Research. Achieving this recognition is an honor that symbolizes high ethical standards, quality of service and success in business.  These accolades reflect both Tom and Jeff's dedication, drive and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our clients.

We are honored to have Tom and Jeff representing our team.  We hope you will join us in congratulating them on this accomplishment.

-The Forbes/SHOOK Best-In-State Advisors list spotlights more than 4,000 top advisors across the country. Each advisor was nominated by their respective firm, then vetted and ranked by SHOOK Research.   SHOOK Research evaluated candidates on five criteria:  in-person interviews, industry experience, compliance records, revenue produced, and assets under management.  The award may not be representative of any one client’s experience.  The award is not indicative of the investment advisor’s future performance.  The advisor does not pay a fee to be a recipient of the award.

1Q 2023 Newsletter - Happenings at Syntegra

We hope this receives you well.  We feel it’s important to communicate how things are going at the Syntegra office.  Everyone continues to work hard and support the advice and service ethic you deserve from us.  Looking back a little, we entered 2022 cautiously optimistic.  As things developed around the world including a February invasion of Ukraine and a hawkish Federal Reserve Bank stance on rising rates, we got even more cautious with portfolio allocations.  Reducing risk was an objective throughout 2022 and with recession risks remaining in the global economies, we remain a bit cautious as 2023 gets underway.  Given some of the recent news about Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank we are taking extra precautions in the bond part of the portfolio. However, we are still finding opportunities.  This week we made some allocation changes to lower P/E asset classes (buying low) or hedged (less volatility) international positions.  You will see those trade confirmations come across your mail or email.

Some other good news is that with rising rates, money market rates are higher.  We haven’t seen that since 2008.  Higher yields help us meet income objectives for clients and provide some consistency in returns.  We remain diligent in our efforts to help you achieve your near term and long term investment objectives.  If you have cash on the sidelines and want to earn a higher yield, including tax free yield, and do not want volatility with that extra cash, give us a call and we can share current rates.

As for a few housekeeping items, one is that you will receive an email from us sharing the Syntegra Annual ADV disclosure changes.  This is brief and will be sent in April.  Another housekeeping item is to remind you to establish a login at advisorclient.com where you can change your delivery preferences to electronic for all those trade confirmations, statements if you like and/or prospectuses.  If you want to reduce the mail from TD Ameritrade, this is the only way to do that.  Call us, we will help you.

Finally, you may notice on our email footers in the near future that Syntegra is expanding West.  A small firm of three advisors will be joining Syntegra from Denver.  The objective of the senior advisors is to retire while providing continuity for their clients.  Syntegra has a fantastic support team of staff and advisors that will enable these advisors to retire, knowing their clients are in good hands.  Many of you came from advisors who retired and handed the responsibilities of advice and care to us.  You know first hand, how important it is to find quality advice and service.  We welcome those advisors and look forward to them joining the Syntegra team.

As always, feel free to call or email with any questions, comments or concerns.  We are here to help you.
